Today Is Gonna Be A Long One!

Today we might be experiencing a bit of the cold front that parts of the rest of the non-Texas world has seen as we expect a high of only 97 degrees.  I am sure the students will join me in breaking out the sweaters and wool socks to ward off the chill that is sure to be in the air!

attpac Today is going to feel like the never ending day by the time we wrap things up later. We are starting out by jumping on the bus at 8:00 to head to the AT&T Performing Arts Center in downtown Dallas. Encompassing 10 acres of prime downtown real estate, the Dallas PAC presents a variety of performances and events year round in both their indoor and outdoor facilities.  We will have the chances to tour two of their most impressive structures, and I look forward to seeing what the students think when they post their reflections on the day.

iavmOur next stop will be to see our great friends, and professional partners of the Facility and Event Management program, IAVM.  This great group has invited us to come see their headquarters in Coppell, TX.  After the tour, we will be taking our “official” group photo with red towels.

Following IAVM, we head down the highway for a quick stop and tour at the Texas Advantage Volleyball Club.  Established to help female athletes excel in the sport of volleyball, TAV focuses on developing the person as well as their skills.

texrangWe wrap up the long day by taking in a Rangers game.  Tonight they are taking on the Tampa Bay Rays.  We are exceptionally excited about this part of the trip as the Bowling Green HotRods are a farm team for the Rays!

Don’t forget to check back with us later to see what the students thought about today’s experiences.
