Texas Motor Speedway–Student Reflection

DSC_0298Today we got to visit Texas Motor Speedway in Fort-Worth. The first thing I that caught my eye was just the size of the whole Speedway. The thing that I enjoyed the most about our tour was when we were able to walk along Turn One on the track and experience the 24 degree embankment. Now if you want to catch a great view of the action on the track, all you had to do was look out and see the new big screen TV nicknamed “Big Hoss” which is a Guinness World Record at 218ft. Another one of the cool features at the Speedway was the fact that they had multiple helicopter pads for the drivers to fly into and out of to avoid the Texas traffic after the race. The best thing about being a fan at Texas Motor is that parking is free, which is unheard of for most facilities in the racing industry.
